Waiting for bridegroom

The day I am waiting for soon is around the corner. Indeed, preparing for wedding is a test of patience and love. Throughout the preparation, I appreciate Ps. Jason even more. Thanks to him who puts in lots of effort and uses up a lot of his brain cells to plan and organize. I am not so good in terms of organizing but I am good to be a support. This is the time that I realize he really accepts me as who I am, though I am not perfect (he sure knows it by now... =D). That makes me remember how God loves and accepts us for who we are, God's love - Jesus died for us on the cross despite the fact that some may not want to accept and appreciate Him. "Jesus, teach me to love and accept people like you do, wonderful Jesus... "
Thanks to my lovely parents and family and also my parents-in-law-to-be who continuously support us in many areas. Love them much. Not forgetting my lovely members, whom I know you all really concern about me..."How is your preparation?" is the question I often hear from my caring church members. I remembered the day when my car window was being smashed and I couldn't join the gathering, and these lovely members run the whole gathering with wisdom and joy. What a comfort that I received! =) thanks to all of you for support.. We stand stronger when we are united.
And most importantly, I thank God for everything. I really see His hand for my marriage. He is preparing everyone to a higher phase of maturity. Indeed, the Lord is rising up a generation to march for this land! There are still much more to accomplished in this end time...
As I wait for my bridegroom on 28th March, the Lord reminded me of the teaching about the 10 virgins who prepared to meet the bridegroom (Matthew 25:1-13). 5 of them are foolish and 5 are wise.
1"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'

7"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'

9" 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'

10"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11"Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!'
12"But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'
13"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
There must be a reason why Jesus taught this parable. There is meaning behind. He simply wants to teach us to be ready at all times before Jesus comes back again. He knows human will grow lazy for him, and grow dull in chasing after the kingdom of God. I surely want to be the wise virgin, having my lamp filled with oil, so that my lamp will always burn and shine the light. When I read this parable, I just told the Lord that I will ensure that throughout my whole life, through thick and thin, through bad times or good times, I will never forget about him or lazy to pursue him (having lamp without oil), instead, I will want to grow to know Jesus more and more, putting in oil in my lamp daily, and shine out for the bridegroom (Jesus) that is to come soon.
Prayer: Jesus, may you help to ensure the fire within me is burning for You and will never die down. Take me away from the temptations around me that will cause me to neglect You. I want be the lamp that has sufficient ever ready oil all the time - lamp that is burning, bringing forth light all the time. And Lord, so that I will shine and bring light to people around me.
