Chinese New Year... Is a time of visiting relatives and getting red packets, we called "ang pao"...eating a lot of cookies and "kuih"...
Also, festive season always make me in holiday mood, and I somehow move slower in many things, like a snail. Many members are not around, and Wangsa Maju is kind of quiet and "peaceful".
Yesterday, I went to my aunt's house at Kepong to have CNY gathering with all my relatives. It has been long time I didn't have CNY gathering with them as I was always at Sibu, Sarawak during CNY. Seeing all the aunts and uncles are getting older, and all my cousins having children that are growing taller and taller, I started to think about L-I-F-E. Living with Insight Filled with Eternity....
We, human, go through the same cycle of life! Baby > Toddler > Child > Teenager > Adult > Parent > Grandparent > Leave the world...
And our lives are bound with pressure and challenge, whether we like it or not, we have to face them. Expectation of people, demands from the world, responsibility to not to hurt people....the list can go on...and on...
And suddenly, I am DETERMINED to not to be snail. As long as I live on earth, I want to do something meaningful and purposeful for the people around me. Although I will make mistake, I ask God to continuously give me a teachable heart to learn and to improve.
"Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.. Galatians 6:9"
Therefore, we must not lose heart in this L-I-F-E... Spend time to build our inside rather than our outside, then helping people to build their inside too!
Some quotes of truth by Zig Ziglar
"Life is too short to spend your precious time trying to convince a person who wants to live in gloom and doom otherwise. Give lifting that person your best shot, but don't hang around long enough for his or her bad attitude to pull you down. Instead, surround yourself with optimistic people."
"Far too many people have no idea of what they can do because all they have been told is what they can’t do. They don’t know what they want because they don’t know what’s available to them."
"It's not what you've got, it's what you use that makes a difference."
"Where you start is not as important as where you finish."
Find & enjoy your true life, that meant by God, not the expectation of the world. =) GBU
